Superconducting Transition of the Magnetic Superconductor TmNi2B2C
Noah Azarin
Project Advisor: George Schmiedeshoff

We measured the thermal expansion of the magnetic superconductor TmNi2B2C with a capacitive dilatometer. We measured the thermal expansion in a temperature range from 0.5K to 300K along both its a- and c-axes. We found the location, magnitude, and sign of the feature at the superconducting critical temperature of TmNi2B2C. We will compare our results to those found in the literature.
