Wet Cleaning at Occidental

Beginning February 12th, 2008, UEPI’s Pollution Prevention Center and local Eagle Rock business Sunny Brite Natural Cleaners will offer an on-campus drop site for professional wet cleaning service.

Professional wet cleaning is a non-toxic, energy efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional dry cleaning. The wet cleaning process uses computer controlled washers and dryers, specially formulated biodegradable detergents, and state of the art finishing equipment to safely clean a full range of garments that have the "dry clean" label.

How It Works

Drop Off/Pick Up Times and Location
Sunny Brite will be in Upper Herrick Chapel every Tuesday and Friday from 11:30 - 1:30. Items dropped off on a Tuesday will be ready for pick up on Friday. Items dropped off on a Friday will be ready for pick up the following Tuesday.

What Can I Wash?
Sunny Brite offers both professional wet cleaning, an environmentally friendly alternative to dry cleaning, and regular laundry service.

How Much Is It?
Prices are listed to the right. Because the operating costs for wet cleaning are low, the service can be offered at prices comparable to dry cleaning.
