Community Impact Award Nomination

This award was created to highlight a commitment to action by members of the Occidental College community in the world outside of campus.

The ideal nominee for the Communit Impact Award:

• is a student-led initiative
• mobilizing a group of people
• to put forth a sustained effort in the community
• working toward a more diverse, just, liveable, and democratic society
• by partnering with community organizations in Los Angeles or Southern California

The selection committee feels that faculty involvement, personal reflection of participants, and maximizing the Oxy community involvement in the project all lead to high quality initiatives. Thus nominees that exhibit these characteristics will be strong candidates for receiving this award.
