Dr. Banis is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in work with children and families.
She has extensive experience in crisis work (including individual trauma experiences such as sexual abuse
and community based work in response to natural disasters), school psychology, divorce and blended families,
and pediatric psychology (with an emphasis in chronic and terminal medical illnesses in children). She teaches
Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychology and Schools, Health Psychology
and Personality. She also works as a consultant to several independent and parish schools, and, as a clinical
consultant to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in the ministry office serving clergy abuse victims.
