CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Integrated Life Planning Model

This approach to career counseling introduces meaning, purpose, spirituality, and faith as key aspects of life planning often ignored in traditional career planning. The Career Center will create programs to stimulate student reflection on these issues through all four years of college.

Walk In My Shoes Program (WIMS)

This program is a mini-internship opportunity for all students regardless of class standing. The students will note three different occupations of interest. Professionals are located for students to shadow for a minimum of four hours, and preferably all day. The students are required to attend a pre-site workshop and are asked to attend a post-site visit reception to to reflect on their experience with Career Center staff.
