NEWMAN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY

The Newman Catholic Community is the equivalent of a Catholic parish for the Occidental Community of students, faculty and staff. Challenged by the life of Jesus Christ, we seek to strengthen and enrich one another through worship, faithful inquiry and service in an atmosphere of unconditional love. Mass is celebrated at 8:00 p.m. on Sundays in Herrick Chapel. Students share their talents as readers, Eucharistic ministers, singers or musicians.

• Sunday Mass (Eucharist) 8:00 p.m., Herrick Memorial Chapel
• Weekend Retreats. Our fall retreat is Saturday, Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Movie and game nights.
• Service & Social Opportunities. 1st Friday of each month 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. feeding the poor at the Hope dinners, St. Dominic Parish.
• Other activities and programs as they arise from the strength of our student community.
