Adjunct position available now!

Occidental College invites applications for a temporary full-time adjunct position in mathematics to begin in August, 2008. Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester, primarily in lower division courses such as calculus, math for liberal arts and statistics. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in mathematics, or be near completion of a doctoral program in mathematics, and have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.

A complete application includes a current vita, a statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching excellence, and three letters of reference. Review of complete applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
