Library Instruction and Information Literacy

Librarians are available to teach classes on a variety of topics related to library research and information literacy. Class topics may include an orientation to the library, how to find books, how to find articles, how to find and identify authoritative public web pages, scholarly vs. popular sources, research strategies, advanced discipline-specific research, advanced features of specific search tools, citation styles, and more.  "Information Literacy is the set of skills needed to find, retrieve, analyze, and use information." Association of College and Research Libraries, Instruction Section

To schedule instruction for a class, contact Marsha Schnirring, Instructional Services Librarian, at mschnirring@oxy.edu.
