Finding the Library

From main visitor parking, described in the above directions, and shown on the campus map as #43, it is about a 10 minute walk to the library.  Take the stairwell down to Gilman Road, turn right (west), and proceed downhill to Bird Road. Angle left (southwest) on the pedestrian paths continuing downhill past the olive grove to the quad by the Johnson Student Center (#15). Again angle left (south) through this quad to the Central Quadrangle (#126). The entrance to the Library (#5) is at the opposite corner of this quad. If any of this is confusing, ask for help - folks on campus are very friendly.

With a parking permit obtainable at no cost from the campus safety office (#12L), you can use any "Visitor" or "General" parking space on campus.  There is a parking lot behind the Library (#5), and another close lot west of Bell Field (#103).

Street Parking requires no permit and can also get you quite close to the library.  If you park near Campus Road and Armadale, walk through the campus gate and the Library (#5) is straight ahead. You will need to walk around the building to find the entrance.

Library Access

Please be aware that the library is not open to visitors, except by appointment, or for special events. Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and guest borrowers must show an ID to enter the building.
