England: Cambridge University

Eligibility: 3.7 GPA

Dates: Academic year only; end of September – middle of June

Location: Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge,
Cambridge, England. Cambridge is located approximately one
hour north of London by train.

Program Structure: This is a direct enrollment program.

Academic Program: Students should acquaint themselves
with the tutorial-style education system that is the hallmark
of both Oxford and Cambridge. Instead of lecture or seminar-
style teaching, Cambridge offers students an opportunity to
take “Supervisions” conducted one-on-one with a professor, or
in a small group with other students. Subjects (courses) are
conducted as year-long courses, with the examination during
the third term. Students typically take three subjects during
the year for which they receive thirty-two Oxy credits.
Students should expect to pursue subjects in their major; this
is not a liberal arts program. Subjects offered at Pembroke
College include:

Archaeology and Anthropology
Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic Languages
Architecture
Classics
Computer Science
Economics
Engineering
English
History
History of Art
Law
Mathematics
Modern & Medieval Languages
Music
Natural Sciences
Oriental Studies
Philosophy
Social and Political Sciences
Theology & Religious Studies

Students should work carefully with the academic staff
on-site to construct an academic program totaling no fewer
than sixteen credits.  A maximum of sixteen Oxy credits will
be awarded for the semester

Housing: Apartment style housing in Pembroke College Halls
on campus with other Pembroke students. Students share
bathroom and kitchen facilities. Students may take meals in
the Hall cafeteria for a fee.

Number of Students: Pembroke College enrolls
420 undergraduates and 200 graduate students.
