Location: Ankara.
Program Structure: This is a direct enrollment program
based at Middle East Technical University METU. All students
are required to take an intensive Elementary Turkish
Language course as well as a multi-disciplinary core course
about modern Turkey taught for CIEE program participants,
only. These required courses begin two weeks before the
start of the regular university courses and continue with
weekly class meetings throughout the first six weeks of the
semester. With the exception of these two classes, CIEE
participants are taught alongside undergraduates from the two
host universities: Bilkent University and Middle East Technical
University. A series of filed trips and excursions are organized
during the semester.

Students should work carefully with
the academic staff
on-site to construct an academic program totaling no fewer
than sixteen credits. A maximum of sixteen Oxy credits will
be awarded for the semester
