Referrals

Emmons Health Center provides diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries.  In keeping with our goal to assist students in maintaining good health, we provide referrals to community health facilities for major illnesses or injuries beyond the scope of our services.  Below is a list of the most commonly used referrals.  For a more comprehensive list please call extension 2657.

Always call first to schedule an appointment and ask about insurance.  Bring your insurance card with you.  If you are using the school insurance and the provider will not bill the insurance company direct you will need to pay at the time of visit and file a claim for reimbursement.  If you have any questions about the school insurance please call Julie Gordon at ext 2836, jgordon@oxy.edu.
