Economics: Alum NewsYady (Guardado) Barajas is back at Oxy! She has been back at Oxy or 2 years now as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. Yady is responsible for the maintenance of the financial aid system and reporting obligations to the federal government. Her favorite part about being back at Oxy is providing counseling services to families and working with our current students. She hopes to see everyone at the reunion! (2006)
Kevin Holliday is currently working at the Century City-based commercial mortgage brokerage firm, George Smith Partners. While he enjoys his new line of work, Kevin writes that the worst part about starting any new job is that vacations are somewhat difficult to take. So, his travels have been relatively limited to nearby locales for quick weekends. The highlight of his summer jaunts was a "Sideways" trip in the wine country north of Santa Barbara, complete with a stay at the Days Inn and dinners at the Hitching Post and AJ Spurs. (2005)
Danny Klink is Senior Manager in Audit Services at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Danny and his wife Courtney welcomed a baby boy named Patrick William Klink into their household at the end of May. They also bought a house in their hometown of Palos Verdes to be closer to Patrick's grandparents. (2007)
Christina and Melissa Ronac are both living in New York city. They share an apartment together but rarely see each other due to long hours at the office. Christina works for Sandell Asset Management and focuses on distressed debt. Melissa works for Houlihan Lokey and does business valuations and fairness opinions for acquisitions. Claudia (Inman) Wilderman is attending the MBA program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She will be graduating in May 2003. (2002)
Lisa
Yang
recently got married! She married David K. Lee on September 23, 2006 in
Los Angeles. Econ alums, including Kevin Holliday ('97), Dan Klink ('97) and
Lisa's sister Marianna Yang ('98) celebrated at her wedding, together with other
Oxy alums LaRonce Henderson ('95), Dan McQueen ('96) and Lisa's other sister
Deana Yang ('98). Lisa is still working in downtown Los Angeles, and lives in
the Hollywood area.
