Class of 1968

Paul L. Basile, Jr. Paul Basile has joined Tyre Kamins Katz Granof & Menes (better known as Tyre Kamins - who can remember all those names?), a 16-lawyer firm in Century City. He will continue to practice tax and business law and estate planning. Paul was also recently elected as a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.
Paul and his wife, Diane Chierichetti, continue to live in their home of 20 years in Sherman Oaks. They are about to undertake the fourth (or is it fifth?) remodel - this time expanding the kitchen.
Their son, Christopher Basile, is a sophomore at Kenyon College in Ohio. Paul tried to get him to apply to Oxy but it was too close to home and not cold enough. Paul and Diane are on the Parent Advisory Council (which means they are raising funds for Kenyon and get to "stalk" their son on campus twice a year) and are Regional Parent Chairs (which means they get to throw more parties).
Lest you worry that Paul has forgotten Oxy, he continues to work with the Office of Institution Advancement raising money for Oxy. (2004)

Wally Frank was recently on campus with his son ('05 grad) to attend the annual Volunteer Leadership Conference. The highpoint was a seminar on poverty led by Prof. Secondi - superb teaching is alive and well at Oxy. (2007)

Jeanne Ormsby (who was married while at Oxy and you may have known then as Jeanne Gibson) is living in Arlington, VA and is VP of Finance & Administration for Red Hot and Blue, a chain of BBQ restaurants. She and her husband are almost done renovating their house and enjoy having 3 of their 4 children nearby. (2001)

Robin Smith and family (Lynne, w/twins Chris and Lauren) have been living in beautiful Mill Valley, California enjoying all the benefits of a small town and lots of outdoor recreation. After 20 years in the sporting goods industry in senior positions with firms like Cutter, Avia and Mizuno, he took a major step into the dot com world 5 years ago. As an early pioneer at Fogdog.com, he helped build the strategy, develop alliances and take the company public. The company was sold a year and a half ago. Robin is currently a Partner in 2 sports consulting companies: SportsOneSource, llc and SportVentures, llc. He and his wife are finding out what the teenage years are all about, but wouldn't change it for anything in the world. "It all passes so quickly." (2002)

After more than 30 years 'doing' and managing technology, Mike Wolfstone has semi-retired to spend time with his 3 grandsons. Skip children and go directly to grandchildren! Now consulting for small businesses on a part-time basis, he is able to enjoy life and still keep up with the ever-changing wave. (2001)
