Randy Bartlett is currently a Professor of Economics at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Before coming to Smith he taught at Williams and the University of Washington and also spent two years working for the Federal Trade Commission. He has three children--one just out of college, one just in, and the youngest starting to look.

Last year, Dave Milam
was published indirectly as "Dave Writes ...." in Writing Out the
Storm, a book by Barbara Abercrombie based on a Wellness Center cancer
writing group. Look for more writing from Dave - "The right side of
stubborn" and "SELF MENTORING for mastery, meaning, mystery and joy at
work". Organizational mentoring is his continued professional focus as
founder of CAUSAE CORP. A recent major
client, ALARIS MEDICAL SYSTEMS, has dramatically transformed their product
development capability and is now listed on the New York Stock exchange. (200
Barbara Miles continues to work at the Congressional Research Service
where she recently stepped down from the position of Head of the Banking,
Insurance, Securities and Macroeconomic Policy group. She divides her time
between direct work for Congress on issues relating to government-sponsored
enterprises and reviewing work of the other economists in the Government and
Finance Division. She is anticipating retirement within the next 15-20 months. (2006)
Stephen Overturf, the Douglas Ferguson chair in
International Economics at Whittier College, just had the second edition
of his book on monetary union in Europe published. The book is Money
and European Union, St. Martin's Press in the US and Macmillan in the
UK and Europe, and the first edition was very favorably reviewed by the
Journal of Economic Literature, Economic Journal, Library
Journal, and The Wall Street Journal among others. It has led
to Steve's appearing on the Jim Lehrer News Hour twice, associated with
various events in the development of the new euro currency. (2000)
