The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) strives to encourage Occidental faculty to share teaching innovations, ideas, strategies, and resources. It also seeks to promote a campus climate where Oxy faculty work together to improve their teaching with the same degree of seriousness and scrutiny that they bring to their research. By agreement with the Dean of the College, all individual consultations and conversations are "off the record" and strictly confidential. The numerous activities of the Center are now supported by a very generous endowed gift from Linda White and Oxy Trustee and alum Tod White.  The endowed gift also supports the Linda and Tod White Teaching Prize.
