WALK IN MY SHOES: A JOB SHADOWING PROGRAM 

The Walk In My Shoes (WIMS) program offers students a unique opportunity to shadow, that is, to literally "walk in the shoes" of a professional in a career field of interest to them. Professionals from diverse fields in the Los Angeles area participate in this program to provide Occidental students with the opportunity to learn what they do, how they do it and why they enjoy doing it. Most of the professionals are alumnus/a from Occidental College. Participants in WIMS are challenged to use their observation skills in order to have this experience aid them in decision-making regarding areas of career interest.  Students will also gain insight into a profession or field they might consider pursuing after graduation.   I am a student interested in WIMS.
