Job Listing Date  Select All

Job Type  Click on Internship/Externship.

Job Location  Select the States where you wish to intern.  Multiple or “all Locations” search is recommended as employers often have job openings at multiple locations.

Job Category and Sub-category   Multi-select many job categories.  For example, if you want to intern in marketing, you could click on Advertising, Marketing, PR, Communications-Media, Business Services, and Nonprofit/Philanthropy. Multi-clicking will produce more employers who have indicated that marketing is part of the internship duties.

Job Industry  We recommend you select all industries to produce greater results.

Keyword Search  We recommend that you use Keyword Search selectively. Here are some instances when it will benefit you to use this function:

  • Use the Keyword Search function to put in an industry or job function not specified in the industry Section, e.g., fashion or writer
  • Use the Keyword Search to target specific cities.
  • Put the word post baccalaureate in the Keyword Search if you are seeking opportunities as a recent alumni.
  • Put the word Fellowship in the Keyword Search if you wish to single fellowships out of the group.
  • Put the word Getty in the Keyword Search if you wish to bring up the paid summer internship opportunities funded by the Getty Multicultural Grant Program.
