At Occidental College, students are
not simply placed in internships. Instead, it is the student's
responsibility to research options and find a suitable site. However, there
are several Career Development Center resources that provide a great place to
start your search for an internship. Subscribe and get in the habit of reading
the CDC Weekly, use TIGERlink, talk to faculty members, and be willing to do
research in the library and the Internet.
Resources
TIGERlink
has thousands of national internship opportunities that are
specifically targeted to our campus as
well as those of peer institutions who are members of the National
Internship Consortium (NIC). To
learn how to use this search tool, view the following Guide.
Alumni
Sharing Knowledge Network, is an alumni database available through an
online directory, where you can search for alumni in career fields or
geographic locations in which you are interested.
Once you find an internship, we strongly
suggest that you review this page How to Be A Good
Intern.
