Choosing an occupation is an important decision. When making a decision such as this, it is first important to look critically at yourself, and examine your values, interests, and skills. Gaining knowledge about occupations is also very important in order for you to determine how well each occupation will fit with your values, interests, and skills. Obtain more information about a particular occupation. 

Once you have clarified your self-knowledge and examined potential occupations, it is time to make a decision. There are useful tools to assist you in this process available at the Career Development Center. These tools can help you weigh out your options and choose the best option for you based on your values, interests, and skills, as well as the impact of your decision on yourself, your family, your community, and your culture.
