USE OF THE CD-ROM FOR CAMPBELL'S BIOLOGY

The CD-ROM can be a little tricky to use, so follow the directions below.  The most useful parts of the CD-ROM, from my perspective, are the Activities and the Quizzes.  Let me know if you find the glossary helpful.  I do not recommend using the Web Links, as the Campbell Biology Place website is more up to date.

When you first put the CD-ROM into your computer, you will find that if you simply click on the CD-ROM icon, it will try to install old versions of Netscape Communicator (version 4.07) or Internet Explorer (version 4.01).  IT WILL INSTALL THESE RIGHT OVER YOUR MORE CURRENT VERSION OF THESE BROWSERS, SO DON'T DO IT!!!  Instead, start up your browser (either one), then follow the instructions below.
