ASSIGNMENTS:

Friday, August 25 (Due by 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 28):

• Complete and submit Task 1
• Read Chapter 1
• Read/review (as needed) Chapters 2,3 and 4
• Sign up for the Cambell web site, "The Biology Place"
• Go to the Campbell web site, explore it, and do the BioCoach "Building Biomolecules" exercise
• Check out the WebQuest exercises; if you want to do the "MusselQuest" exercise, you can send it to Dr. Pollock for comments (but no points).  Pre-med?  Go through the "Millennium WebQuest" for a history of surgery
• Install the CD-ROM on your computer, or go to a computer lab and try it there (you will probably have to install it in order to use it)
• Do the CD-ROM activities for Chapter 1, and for Chapters 2-4 as needed (the quizzes will probably be helpful)

Due Monday, October 30, 2000:

• Virtual Fly Genetics Exercise  
• Submit results on the appropriate worksheet (Word version or rtf version)
