Anthropology Majors must also complete the Department's comps process.
All anthropology majors are encouraged to avail themselves of opportunities to study abroad, to attend summer field school in archaeology, and to conduct summer ethnographic fieldwork.
The minor in Anthropology consists of the following courses:
100: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (freshman or sophomore year)
370: Ethnographic Research Methods (sophomore or junior year)
371-379: An Anthropological Theory seminar (junior or senior year)
8 units of electives in Anthropology. A few specified classes taught by anthropologists in Women's Studies/Gender Studies and Religious Studies can be counted as electives in Anthropology.
